Guided Access is the real lock: Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access → on, set a passcode. Then in this app triple-click the side button and tap Start. Baby can't leave at all until you triple-click and enter the passcode.
Flick the ring switch off silent, or there'll be no animal noises.
